Lemon Garlic Baked Tilapia

Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets

freshly ground black pepper, (to taste)

4 cloves garlic, (minced)

2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/4 tsp lemon zest, from lemon

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon italian seasoning

2 ½ Tbsp olive oil

¼ teaspoon chili powder


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Season tilapia with salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and chili powder. Arrange fish in a 9x13 baking dish.

  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest; pour over tilapia.

  4. Bake tilapia for 10 to 12 minutes, or until fish flakes and is fork-tender.

  5. Garnish with lemon slices, pepper (optional), and serve.
